i finally got my glasses & have graduated into a full-blown fashionable four-eyes. pradapradaprada.

having 8:30am classes is destroying my semester. i am not a morning person. i have missed 2 anatomy classes & 3 drawing workshops in a ROW. asghh. i am so bad at real life. and so good at drawing! i'm getting pee'd offf.

i had a good time in buffalo though. matt&i had a mobile bike/skate date to the art gallery and park. we rented grizzly man & kung-fu hustle. they were both real good. i took the 11:35 bus back last night & got in at a sleepy 2am.

today i visited olivia for a sandwich & went out to visit my dad. it was his 55th birthday yesterday. i got him a john lee hooker cd & a book of bukowski poems.

i am uber-busy now with school, life, and friends. it's hard to fit it all in and it's so fantastic.

i got my computer yesterday. no glasses yet. i wanted my glasses more, i think. i am upset that i am stuck with contact lenses.

i had a good time being a loner at the cancer bats show last night. i like that i'm not that girl that needs to be around 100 people all the time anymore. i really don't need anyone but me, my mom and my aspirations.

the bus to buffalo leaves at 8o'clock. i will be back on sunday.

after all my plans fell through for friday night i was bumming on telling matt not to come up this weekend. everything turned around last night, though.

i went to hoibak's show about halfway through and even then it seemed too overwhelming. i found phil & we had some drinks & got stoned in his car with his little sister. i watched a death for every sin for old times' sake & it was funny.RANT:i don't go to hardcore shows anymore and with a big fest like that i realized why. most hardcore bands are so disconnected from punk rock in any way (music, message, image, attitude) that it is a huge jockfest. dancing is punching random kids as hard as you can at the rim of the pit? the kids all look like wiggers and follow a pretty standard uniform: flex-fit baseball caps with straight brims (cocked to the side), toughguy tshirt, maybe some reference to your city's baseball team, and expensive nike shoes. it's embarassing to see. why do all the suburban white hc kids want to look like ballers so bad? what happened to the popularity of new balance shoes?

anyway, marc's house party with fucked up was punk as fuck and a really good time. i spent my entire night hanging out with different people. phil, andrew from halifax, the girl i talk with at odyssey, and even spencer joined in on rating the people who walked by us in the hallway. i also spent a fair amount of time making dirty limericks on the refridgerator with ewan and oz's roommate. i watched FU play from the windowsill in the living room and my knuckles are bruised from punching the ceiling so hard.

james was supposed to meet us at dee's afterwards but never showed up. food fights and general drunken revelry ensued and i got home early. i was still drunk when i woke up so i slept until 4pm and stood up my dad for our movie date. i have to go say goodbye to ariella at a pub later.

fun night. i like fun.

i'm so blessed that my family loves me so much but i'm becoming what i hate in other people... pampered by my family. i guess after 10 or so years of struggle it's justified, but i hope i don't come off as spoiled. erg. i'm feeling guilty about my possessions...

lucky dragon 2am chinese food made me eat flesh for the first time in 5 years. i was gagging with every successive bite i took of fake meat afterwards & wanted to puke & cry in disgust. it was the worst feeling & i'm never going back there. stupid chineses.

in good news, my gramps got awarded a disability pension from canada. he fought in doubleya-doubleya two for five years & was only paid one thousand dollars. he is getting a cheque this week for $33000, with a large cheque every month now. my family never gets news like that & i'm ecstatic for him & my mom.

school is exciting me. i want my arm finished already. i am planning on buying prada glasses & i hate that they're brand name cause they're uber pricey. fashion. hmph. i am ridiculously in love with my nineteen year old silly boyfriend. we have a psychic connection and we keep getting freaked out. his astral projections affect my consciousness. you wouldn't understand.

this movie blew our minds. you have to see this in order to realize how completely insignificant the human race is compared to the forces of nature & the history of the planet. it is entirely awe-inspiring and devastating. i love nature.

the human race makes me so mad but this film is so good. nature is better than people.

i finally saw this for the first time. comic book movies work best when the director understands graphic novels, &rodriguez does.

another nature flick. this works best to watch while very stoned. bugs are nifty.

audrey hepburn is the perfect woman. $8 at wal-mart, i couldn't go wrong.

visiting my old neighbourhood yesterday for a doctor's appointment, i noticed not much has changed. my highschool seems a little ghettoer, a little blacker. i still hate buses and poor neighbourhoods. there seem to be more retarded people in poor neighbourhoods, but then again rich people probably just lock theirs up in their basements or drown them at birth.

i was disappointed to see that Westside Mall doesn't look like the Dawn of the Dead mall anymore. it's all stucco and Home Depot now. the brown 70s aesthetic is gone.

dr. frydrych told me that 1 in 10 girls have the clap & don't know it. i guess i'll find out if i'm #1 or not soon. otherwise i'm fucking perfectly healthy. i would have thought that after 5 years of being a vegan with little regard for nutrition i'd be aenemic to the max. looks like my body agrees with my diet afterall.

after all that business i ended up having an accidental dinner date with colohan & 2 dutch men from amsterdam.

i got a big cheque in the mail today, with $20 left in my account. guess there is some good in having a mother on disability insurance. praise the governmental lords for cutting me a break - and a cheque.

instead of staying in & studying yesterday, i went to the against me! show at the opera house for free with dan, andi's hubbie steve (that's his name, right?), some kids & some other kids. there were lots of drunk 16 year old girls but it was way cute.

when i got home i was kind of drunk so i met rachel, holly & dan at dee's cause they were celebrating her birthday. then i got reallly drunk. i suggested to rachel we talk to these guys in front of us because i thought it would be funny. turns out they were real mexicans & rach went off on a tangent about zapatista & shit. the next thing i remember is calling matt at 3am, puking in my new ikea garbage can & holly busting into my room. then she stole my phone.

i just took my exam hungover. it took me 45 minutes. new record!!
